Koh Yor Wisdom, Revived

For more than a century, families on Koh Yor cooled their newborns’ skin with luk-on, a powder of rice and local herbs. Today, one family still holds the recipe. With backing from Thailand’s National Innovation Agency, SAN is working with them to bring it back as the SAN Herbal Mask.

SAN Maison hosted a DIY scented herbal sachet workshop centered on sustainability and Southern Thai cultural heritage.
Participants learned the traditional art of Tupat wrapping using natural Bai Por leaves, preserving a craft technique rooted in local wisdom. Instead of synthetic materials, the workshop emphasized biodegradable, plant-based components and mindful handcraft.
Each sachet was filled with a blend of SAN original fragrance and organic herbs, combining contemporary scent design with natural, sustainable ingredients.
