“Dreams of Songkhla” is a four-part cinematic exploration of Songkhla, Thailand, structured around the sensory connection between fragrance and narrative. Each chapter, defined by a distinct olfactory profile—Mandarin Silk Road, Samila Lush, Soul Sumpannee, and Nora Shadow—serves as a gateway into the town’s layered history and cultural essence. Through dance, poetic vignettes, and minimal dialogue, the film aims to convey Songkhla’s soul through scent and memory. The film was directed by Clay Hemmerich.
